DJ Godzi has passed away in Ibiza — family asks for justice

The island of Ibiza is mourning the loss of DJ Godzi — real name Michele Noschese — a 35-year-old Italian DJ who had lived on the island for over 10 years. He passed away suddenly on July 19th, during a small party at his home in Santa Eulària.

According to official reports, the police (Guardia Civil) were called to the house because of loud music and complaints from neighbours. When the officers arrived, they said they found Michele in a confused and agitated state. During their intervention, they said he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Emergency services tried to revive him, but sadly, he died on the spot.

But the story doesn’t end there — and it’s not so clear.

His family and friends say something much worse happened. They claim that the police used too much force, tied him up by his hands and feet, and that he may have been beaten while on the ground. According to people who were there, he didn’t receive proper medical help, and his body was taken directly to the morgue, not the hospital.

Because of this, his father and lawyer have filed official complaints in both Spain and Italy, and they are asking for a second autopsy to be done — by an independent doctor — to understand the real cause of death. They believe this may have been a case of police violence, and are calling for justice.

At the moment, the Guardia Civil has opened an investigation, but no officer has been suspended. The Italian Consulate is also following the case closely.

DJ Godzi was not just a DJ — he was part of the Ibiza family. Known for his good energy, big smile, and love for music, he brought joy to many nights on the island.

Now, his friends, fans, and loved ones are remembering him — and asking for the truth.

🕊 Rest in peace, Godzi. You’ll always be part of Ibiza.
