Eutopia Warehouse: East London’s New 4000-Capacity Music, Arts & Cultural Destination

East London’s nightlife is about to change forever with the arrival of Eutopia Warehouse, a brand new 4,000-capacity music and arts venue opening this Halloween in Barking. Built within a collection of 1950s industrial warehouses beside the River Roding, the site has undergone a £1.5 million transformation, fusing the raw beauty of London’s industrial past with a cutting-edge, future-facing design.

Eutopia has already attracted some of the most respected promoters in the UK and beyond, including 51st State Festival, AEG, Appetite, Back to 95 (25th Anniversary), Breakin Science, Centerforce, Dance On Arrival, HOWL, Moon Dance, Recess, Sankeys, Space Ibiza, World Dance and Zulu Nation. Together they will bring a diverse mix of house, minimal, techno, bass, amapiano and more to this new cultural landmark.

The venue is divided into four distinct arenas. The Yard, a 1,700-capacity outdoor playground by the river, combines light, sound and art to create a true festival atmosphere, complete with staging, street food and elevated dance platforms. Inside, three warehouses each offer a unique vibe. WHS 1 holds 800 people and pays homage to classic New York and London underground club culture with its tunnel-like design and d&b Audiotechnik sound system. WHS 2, with a 1,200 capacity, is a versatile space that can switch between 360° and end-stage formats, ideal for club nights, concerts and brand activations. WHS 3 is an intimate 800-capacity room, designed for curated performances and exhibitions, soon to evolve into a dedicated cocktail and listening bar for label showcases and local community events.

Behind Eutopia is a powerhouse team with deep roots in music and events. Michael Hughes, founder of Garage City, Back to 95 and Groove Odyssey, brings decades of authentic house culture. Nikki Gordon, co-founder of We Are FSTVL and former Head of Ministry of Sound, adds her creative and operational expertise. Will Paterson, the mind behind over 20 festivals and 11 London venues, provides his extensive experience in large-scale event production. Finally, Tom Ranger, known for programming Dreamland Margate, Oval Space, Annabel’s and Live Nation’s Soundcrash division, brings his curatorial touch to the project.

Eutopia is built as a multi-purpose cultural hub for live shows, club nights, art exhibitions and community gatherings. With its high-spec production, world-class sound and design, the venue is set to become a cornerstone of London’s creative future, redefining what a large-scale venue can be.
