Hey party people! Big news from the heart of Kyiv – the city’s clubbing heavyweights are coming together under a new banner called UNight. They’re on a mission to shield our after-dark scene. Think of it as a nightlife family – from the thumping clubs to the hardworking crews, from the DJs spinning tracks to us – the groovers on the dance floor.
Hot spots like ∄ (K41), HVLV Bar, Keller, Sloi Bar, and festivals like Brudniy Pes (Dirty Dog) and Art is a Weapon, all stepping up. UNight’s got a dream – a nightlife in Kyiv that’s safer, buzzing with positivity, and built on rock-solid respect.
UNight’s about keeping it real and welcoming – because everyone deserves to dance, right? They’re laying down the law for what makes our nights out epic: Trust, unity, and keeping the vibes right. It’s all about setting up a game plan to make sure the nightlife keeps on shining.
Kyiv’s club scene is no stranger to a challenge, but things took a serious turn back in 2021. There was a group with some pretty extreme views causing trouble, claiming clubs were playing host to drug deals.
One of the grim tales from that time talks about a bouncer who faced the brunt of it. He was just there to keep the visitors safe, but he got a rough deal: bear spray to the face and a beatdown with a baton. As if that wasn’t enough, these attackers didn’t stop at physical harm – they threw out words filled with hate.
That’s the kind of vibe no one wants in our club culture. UNight’s stepping up to the plate to make sure these spots we love to dance at are protected and respected. Because at the end of the day, we all just want to enjoy the night in peace and harmony.
Now, UNight’s got a goal – a hefty 25 million Ukrainian hryvnias (€650.000) to back up the military and volunteers. Since February, events across the city have been filling up the bank.
