Monegros Desert Festival is already gearing up for its next trip into the desert, and the line up for 2026 brings together a wide variety of talents with partnerships to some of the most renowned promoters in the scene at the moment. With more than 120 artists stacked in the bill, this edition will mark one of the most ambitious events for the festival’s 33-year history.
With mix of long-standing legends and the newer names shaping electronic currently, you can catch techno heavyweights Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens and Paco Osuna amongst the headline acts, returning to lead what promises to be 22 hours of non-stop rave in the desert. Alongside them, the line up leans into harder, more current sounds with artists like Klangkuenstler, Indira Paganotto and Fatima Hajji, all bringing the kind of intensity that fits Monegros perfectly. There’s also a strong focus on the new wave of hard and industrial techno, with names like Fantasm, Héctor Oaks and Adrián Mills, plus the much-anticipated Brutalismus 3000.
For the Arnau family, who founded the festival, it’s about more than just booking big names. “Each year the challenge grows, because Monegros is not just about music – it’s an experience of survival and freedom,” say Juan and Cruz Arnau. “For 2026 we have designed a lineup that respects our roots while engaging with what is happening right now in the global electronic scene. We want the desert to become a city with a life of its own for 22 hours.”
That idea of building a temporary world in the desert runs through the whole concept for 2026. Monegros isn’t just adding stages, but creating full-on sonic environments. The standout this year is OUTWORLD, an exclusive partnership with Monegros. Designed as a 360-degree experience with space for 20,000 people, it will host more than 12 international artists such as Dax J b2b Daria Kolosova, Perc, Future.666 b2b Aerea, Héctor Oaks on closing duties & more! With Klangkuenstler set to play two different sets in the stage, OUTWORLD is set to bring together a huge audio-visual production as some of you might have already witnessed online.
Elsewhere, several key concepts from today’s techno scene are joining the festival. 240 KM/H brings its Face to Face format, where artists go head-to-head in high-energy sets. Unreal, known for its dark and industrial techno roots in Germany, returns for a second year with an immersive setup built to fully surround the crowd. Awakenings is also back, bringing its signature production style from the Netherlands to the desert once more. And ARTCORE, led by Indira Paganotto, adds its psytechno edge – a fast, hypnotic sound that’s become a defining part of the current scene.
