Round up of Magazine Open—Air first week

Magazine Open—Air opened its doors for the first time last weekend, brought to life by Broadwick Live – the same team behind Drumsheds, Printworks and Magazine to name a few. The venue offers a unique experience set against London’s skyline on the banks of the River Thames, set besides Magazine London in the Greenwich Peninsula.

Each event transforms the space into a roofless dancefloor framed by architectural interventions, hosting carefully designed summer shows rather than traditional full scale festivals. The backdrop gives the City Landscape a new perspective where music becomes the main actor, with the parties running from day-to-night making the most of the warmer days in the capital.

The first weekend saw the likes of James Hype and MEDUZA playing to 10,000 attendees on Friday, followed by Josh Baker b2b Max Dean featured in our article to a packed dance floor, with Sunday bringing together the celebration of 15 years of The Soulection Experience.

It’s second weekend brings a packed program, a first-exclusive in the UK with Amelie Lens b2b Sara Landry on Friday, followed by Purple Disco Machine on Saturday and a chilled closing on Sunday with R&B and Slow Jams. Tickets are still available for all these shows, so grab yours and avoid FOMO – don’t say we didn’t warn you. From techno hard, pounding sounds to disco grooves, all the way to R&B jams – the final weekend of this event series brings together a variety of talent for all tastes, so question is which day are we dancing together?
